Welcome to IIT's New Blackboard - Blackboard 9.1!
Several new features enhance the student and faculty experience including general improvements to the user interface and system defaults. IIT's Blackboard transition team also added our own touches - for instance, one of the first things you'll notice in the course shell is some menu items have been renamed for clarity, including the addition of a specific "Syllabus" default menu item.
Explore your courses to get a feel for this new system. As you explore, please keep in mind that this system is new for everyone. During this first semester transition, we ask for patience of both students and faculty as we all get used to working with Blackboard 9.1.Visit the Blackboard at IIT site for additional support and information. If you have specific technical questions regarding Blackboard, the Support Desk is always happy to assist.
On behalf of the entire OTS & IIT Online Blackboard 9 transition team - Happy Exploring!

HOW DO I GET TO THE OLD BB SYSTEM?
(Thursday, December 20, 2012)
Faculty can access archived course content in the old Blackboard 8 system, but it should not be used for any new content/course development.
Content for students is available in the new Bb 9.1 system.
To access the old Blackboard system, open a new web browser and go to http://oldblackboard.iit.edu.
Sign in with your myIIT username and password.
NOTE: If you will be working in Bb 9.1 and Bb 8 at the same time, it is recommended that you use two different browsers. (e.g., run myIIT/Blackboard 9.1 in Internet Explorer and Bb 8 in Firefox).
